2026: Notice

Thanks to the support of our levy-paying businesses, BID St Andrews has successfully secured a third five-year term, meaning The Big Hoolie will return on Saturday 28 November 2026 – and we're planning to make it bigger and better than ever.

The Big Hoolie is organised by BID St Andrews and made possible through investment from local businesses via the BID levy. Their continued support allows us to deliver events like this, bringing the community together, attracting visitors and supporting our town centre.

Planning is now well underway, and below you can find some of the exciting things we have in store. Save the date and keep an eye on our website and social media for any more updates over the coming weeks.

EVENTS PROGRAMME

LIVE MUSIC

From 5pm there will be live music on the stage down at the West Port of South street with acts such as Covergirl, The Other Guys, The Accidentals and DJ Vanessa Motion.

CEILIDH

Traditional Scottish Ceilidh dancing will commence on South Street at 7pm with music provided by the Kilrymont Ceilidh band.

TORCH PROCESSION

The torch lit procession will begin from South Street at 8pm, led by The Madras Pipe Band. It will finish at West Sands to lead into the fireworks display.

FIREWORKS DISPLAY

The fireworks display will commence shortly after the arrival of the torch lit procession. If you are not following the procession we recommend arriving at West Sands for 8.15pm.
